about

Gabe from Lillerne Tape Club contacted us at the beginning of the summer about releasing a cassette single of "Not Mine," the first track off of our debut studio release, "Form a Sign." Ryan and I were happy to do it. We love tapes, we love Gabe, and we love recording b-sides. We also love the photography and digital art of Ryan Wilson, so we jumped at the chance to do something that combined these four loves.

The cassette had a very limited run of 100 copies, with liner notes that neglected to credit Ryan Wilson for his contributions. Thankfully, due to the infinite nature of the internet, we can share our music and Ryan's art with more than just 100 lucky souls, and maybe this time give credit where credit's due.

Thanks for listening!
-Mat

about

Brothers and long-time musical collaborators Mat Lewis (keys, vocals) and Ryan Lewis (drums) formed art-pop duo Grape Soda ... more in the fall of 2008.

Simultaneously murky and effervescent, like the beverage from which they took their name, Grape Soda's songs are uncluttered verging on deconstructed: rhythm, melody, and just enough harmonic structure to hold them together.
